This medicine is used in the treatment of Hyperlipidemia IIa which is also known as Familial Hypercholesterolemia, characterized by the increased blood levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein, which leads to the formation of the cholesterol).
This medicine is used in the treatment of Hyperlipidemia IIb which is also known as Familial Combined Hyperlipidemia, characterized by the increased blood levels of LDL (Low-density lipoprotein) and VLDL (Very low-density lipoprotein).
This medicine is used in the treatment of Hyperlipidemia IV which is also known as Familial Hypertriglyceridemia, characterized by the increased blood levels of LDL (low-density lipoprotein) and increased VLDL production in the body.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Olbetam capsule 250 mg 4×8’s or any other inactive ingredients present along with it.
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with severe kidney impairment due to the increased risk of worsening of the patient's condition.
