Do not use extra medicine to make up for the missed dose. Injectable forms: Since this medicine is usually administered in a clinical/hospital setting, the likelihood of missing a dose is very low. If you miss a scheduled appointment for a dose of this medicine, contact your doctor for further instructions.

This medicine is used to reduce the toxicity caused due to the administration of methotrexate. It is also used to counteract the effects of an impaired methotrexate elimination or accidental overdosage.
This medicine is also used to replenish folic acid in the body and reduce the toxicity caused due to the administration of folic acid antagonists such as aminopterin, pyrimethamine, trimethoprim, triamterene, etc. It is also used to counteract the toxic effects caused due to an accidental overdose of these medicines.
This medicine is used to treat megaloblastic anemia, a type of anemia with a lower than the normal number of red blood cells, caused by a deficiency of folic acid due to malnourishment, liver disease, pregnancy, or a reduced ability to absorb folic acid from the diet.

This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to leucovorin/calcium folinate or any other inactive ingredients present in the formulation.
